Hailing from the great state of Virginia, Rosa moved to Seattle after college for a service year with the Episcopal Service Corps, and has now been at Friends of the Children–Seattle for three years. While completing her B.S. in Foreign Service at Georgetown University, she realized that her true motivation came from building and strengthening community at the local level. She is passionate about good coffee, summer camp, and providing equitable access for every child to achieve their biggest dreams.
In her free time, Rosa enjoys connecting with family and friends, learning new recipes, buying knitting supplies before knowing how to use them, and volunteering with a regional youth group.
