Through consistency Rylee learned her alphabet

At the beginning of first grade, Rylee* only knew 7 or 8 letters of the alphabet. She seemed to be flying under the school’s radar. Her professional mentor, Alex, stepped up to advocate for an Individualized Education Plan (IEP): a special education plan created specifically for Rylee. She entered a specialized classroom environment tailored to her learning needs in November, and by March she was able to recognize every single letter of the alphabet. While learning disabilities will always be a challenge for Rylee, she now enjoys reading, has confidence in her schoolwork and is motivated to work hard.
