BOARD: Nate Davern (he/him)

Nate is the Manager of Federal & Tribal Government Affairs at Puget Sound Energy. Since moving to Seattle in 2016 he has worked extensively on federal policy issues impacting PSE’s clean energy transition, tax treatment, telecommunications needs and customer assistance offerings. Since 2023, Nate has managed PSE’s Tribal Government Affairs – a team dedicated to ensuring that PSE remains a trusted clean energy partner of choice to the tribal nations of the Pacific Northwest. Nate is also a participant in the utility industry’s trade associations which support important electric, natural gas and clean energy development policies through stakeholder outreach and advocacy. Prior to joining PSE, Nate spent eight years in Washington, D.C. working in the financial services industry and the U.S. Senate.

As a first-generation college graduate, Nate believes in the importance of mentorship, community investment, and civic participation as key enablers to guide and support young people toward opportunity. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Illinois and he lives in South Seattle with his wife and two daughters.
