Be a Part of Generational Change - Celebrate 25 Years of Commitment with Us ✨
After working for 15 years as a classroom teacher, James wanted to make a career change but continue to work with children. He was drawn to the mentoring model of Friends of the Children, which allows mentors to build long-term relationships with youth. James is looking forward to collaborating with caregivers, community members, and continuing his journey as a lifelong learner.
James was born in Seattle and is a proud graduate of the University of Washington. Due to the outsized impact of the movies “Indiana Jones” and “Jurassic Park” on him growing up, he graduated with a degree in Archeology.
Outside of work, James enjoys reading in his hammock, cheering on the Huskies, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, looking for his golf ball in the woods, and is probably the person who said “Hi!” to your dog when you passed him on the sidewalk.
