Mentors at Friends-Seattle dedicate themselves to supporting youth as they navigate growing social, emotional, and personal challenges throughout their life. Professional Mentor, now Senior Director of Programs-Teen, Sheena, has made that commitment to Aliya. Throughout high school, Sheena supported Aliya in navigating the difficulties of growing up and incredibly difficult times Aliya had to face. Sheena and Friends-Seattle remained a support system for Aliya and her family for 12+ years, seeing her graduate high school, college at University of Washington-Tacoma, and securing her first corporate internship.
