BOARD: Carmen Decker

Carmen Decker joined Kimco in 2011 and currently serves as the President of the Western Region. She oversees over 169 shopping centers in the Western U.S. consisting of 33.5 million square feet. In this capacity, Carmen is responsible for strategic planning, acquisitions, asset management, dispositions, leasing, property management, construction, and development. She has more than 18 years of shopping center experience. Prior to her current position, she was the Vice President of Leasing & Asset Management for Kimco’s Pacific Northwest Sub-Region and spent nine years as a Leasing & Sales Broker in both San Francisco and Seattle.

Carmen holds a B.A. degree from the University of Washington and is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School Program in Leadership Development. She is a licensed real estate broker in Washington, a member of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) and the ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers). In addition to sitting on the board of Friends of the Children, she also sits on the board for Friends of Equal Opportunity Programs at the University of Washington and the board of BNBuilders.

In her free time, Carmen enjoys cooking, golfing, watching sports, music and spending time with her husband and two teenage children.
