Staff: Darius Waters (he/him)

A native to Lakewood, WA, Darius comes from a deep appreciation in the culinary field. After getting his AA in Culinary Arts, Darius worked as a professional chef until he met Friends – Seattle.

Darius is passionate about men’s mental health and the need to address and spread awareness about it. Friends-Seattle stood out to him as a new challenge for himself: that this would be a great way to have a positive impact on the lives of the youth in his community.

His favorite part of being a mentor is all of the connections he makes and hopes to keep for a lifetime.

Outside of Friends, Darius enjoys camping, hiking, gardening, cooking, and concerts. He loves going to National Parks and is a fan of all of Seattle’s sports teams. He does have a soft spot for Lebron, his favorite sports icon.

Darius also has a cat named Mango!
