Matt was born and raised in Seattle, WA. He graduated from Rainier Beach High School and was drafted out of high school to play professional baseball. He played 12 years professional, retiring in 2016, since then he has become a King County Sheriff, Firefighter, mailman, baseball coach, and now a professional mentor.
In his free time, he loves spending time with his wife and son, working out, watching movies, reading books, and listening to music.
Matt chose to work at Friends-Seattle because he enjoys working with kids and giving back to his community. Matt has always had a passion for being a role-model and mentor to kids. His goal is to show and lets kids know that they can do and achieve anything that they set their minds to.
