Staff: Rex Gaoaen (he/him)

Rex (aka Mr. Adidas) is originally from Seattle and his happy place is anywhere there is water. He enjoys fishing and spending time with his Mini American Shepherd, Dottie.

Rex has worked with youth for over 16 years and didn’t think there was an organization out there that did what Friends does: provide an adult mentor to youth for 12.5 years, no matter what. That commitment is powerful and life-changing for all that are involved, and he knew he had to be a part of it.

He values the relationships and bonds he has built with his youth and all the learning and growing they’ve done together.
