Staff: Stefan Hauser (he/him)

Stefan has a passion to work with youth, especially those who grew up in similar circumstances as he did. After his first year of teaching, he wanted to find a profession in which he could make a bigger impact, and connect with youth and families on a deeper level. Stefan found Friends in the summer of 2009 and has been a Friend ever since. Eight out of his nine youth graduated from high school in 2021! The 9th is entering his senior year in the fall of 2021! Stefan has learned so much from his youth, their families, and his coworkers over the years at Friends.

Stefan received his master's in education from Western Governor's University. He is a fan of every Seattle sports team and holds out hope that there will be a men's basketball team again. Stefan is passionate about the Black Lives Matter Movement, education reform, civil rights, human rights, gender equality, and child safety. He is a better mentor, husband, father, teacher, and community member thanks to the wisdom he has gained over the years.

He loves spending time and traveling with his wife and children. His favorite destination is the Caribbean and Hawaii.
