Back-To-School Resource Fair 2024: A Success Thanks to Our Community

On August 10, we held our Back-To-School Resource Fair, with incredible support from AT&T, Compudopt, and our community partners. We are thrilled to share the highlights and express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this event a success.

With the generous support of AT&T and Compudopt, we provided 250 laptops and backpacks filled with essential school supplies to families. The event also featured engaging STEM learning stations and informative resource tables (thank you to Byrd Barr Place, Downtown Seattle Public Health Center, PEPS, and Rainier Valley Food Bank), delicious food from Rain City Catering, and refreshing shaved ice from Rainy City Ice.

Of course, the festivities would not be complete without some entertainment! We had a blast with a photo booth that captured many joyful moments, and Vibe Bingo, which brought excitement and tested our guests' music knowledge!

A special thank you goes out to our community partners, sponsors, dedicated staff, and incredible volunteers for coming together and making this event so successful. We also want to extend our appreciation to Ticket to Dream and Famous Footwear for their contributions, which helped youth step into the classroom with the back-to-school essentials they need for a successful year.

Your support is vital in providing equal opportunities for every student as they head back to school. Thank you once again to all our supporters and partners. We look forward to more events like this and continued collaboration with the Friends-Seattle community.
