Here at Friends of the Children Seattle, we believe that youths thrive when supported by a strong, caring community. Help support our Generational Change Model and get involved in our broader community!

Facilitate A Workshop

We are looking for passionate individuals to share their skills and interests with our community. We surveyed our staff, families, and youth about life skills they are interested in and here are our top responses:

• Career Readiness (resume writing, interview skills, job application support, technical and trade school support, etc.)
• College Readiness (FAFSA and application support, first-gen experience, etc.)
• Mental Health workshops
• Healthcare Access workshops
• Sexual education support for teens
• Internet Safety Workshops
• Healthy Cooking
• Financial Literacy

Support Community Events

Volunteer your time and/or resources for Family Engagement Events at Friends of the Children-Seattle!

​Family Engagement Events at Friends provide special opportunities to build community amongst families and staff, celebrate the various seasons and accomplishments with our families. For example, staffing our annual event, putting together pamper kits for the incredible women in our youth's lives, creating 'post-high school' survival kits for program graduates, organizing take-home kits with summer activities for youth to prevent the summer slide, and packing backpacks with needed school supplies for the new school year.
